PROVIDENCE, June 14, 2017 — The Jewish Alliance of Greater
Rhode Island is pleased to announce the selection of non-profit leader Adam
Greenman as its next President & Chief Executive Officer. Adam’s
appointment follows an extensive national search and goes into effect August 1,
Adam will be the second person to hold this position at the
Jewish Alliance and is a clear reflection of the organization’s commitment to

greater Rhode Island Jewish community,” said Sharon Gaines, Chair of the CEO
Search Committee. “Adam will be tasked with championing the Alliance’s mandate
to inspire, connect, educate and support Jews locally, in Israel, and around
Greenman brings years of experience and has a proven record
of non-profit management. He served as Executive Vice President at United Way
of Rhode Island providing strategic leadership in areas such as public policy,
fundraising, and communications, and prior to that he served as Executive
Director of the Rhode Island Afterschool Plus Alliance.
Greenman received his Masters of Public Administration from
Rutgers University, and Ed. D., in Educational Leadership from Northeastern
University. In 2016 he received the distinction of being named one of
Providence Business News’ 40 Under 40, which recognizes recipients for
excelling in their chosen professions and being involved in their communities.
Other honors include the 2013 Youth Development Champion Award presented by the
Greater Providence YMCA and the 2011 Men Who Make A Difference Award, presented
by Women’s Resource Center of Newport County.
