Born out of a passion for natural beauty, the family run
start-up, NISSI NATURALS officially opened its doors on September 9. NISSI
NATURALS located at 548 Smithfield Avenue in Pawtucket is owned and operated by
Andrew and Anna Mangeni. Pawtucket Mayor, Donald Grebien , Rhode Island State
Representative Ray Hull (D-6) and Miss Black Talented Teen USA, joined NISSI
NATURALS owners, family, and friends for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“It's great to have the Mangeni's open its family business
in Pawtucket, we're excited to have small business like Nissi Naturals, it in
our community, said Mayor Grebien.
Flanked by his family including his sister Maria, who
created the concept and operates Nissi Naturals in Uganda, West Africa based
store, those gathered that their products are for everyone, if you have Eczema
or psoriasis, our products are made with natural products like olive oil.
Andrew’s sister, Maria who made the trip from Uganda for the
opening started the business in Uganda following a need to find products that
would not harm her course hair.
Products like the Shea Butter Soap and Shea Butter Bar and
Bendera Deep Treatment Protein are made on sight. The Mangeni’s invited
everyone gathered for a tour of where the products are made onsite. Following
their tour Mayor Grebien and Representative Hull were presented with gift bags
filled with variety from the 20 plus items available in store and online. Mayor
Grebien insisted he would be back with his family.
Following the ribbon cutting out front, Andrew encouraged
everyone to purchase something and pointed to the corner where skin analysis
and weekly product demonstrations will take place.
"We hope to inspire our clientele to embrace their
natural beauty which will enhance their confidence making them better citizens
for this World!
