Providence, RI – The U.S. Small Business Administration
welcomed its third group of Emerging Leaders graduates today.
Participants engaged in extensive business strategy, financial analysis, and marketing/sales
skills to hone their entrepreneurial acumen. This executive-level, intensive
education series includes approximately 100 hours of classroom time per
participant, provides the opportunity for small business owners to work with
experienced mentors, attend workshops and develop connections with peers, city
leaders and financial communities.
“The Emerging Leaders program continues to yield real
results for the small business owners that participate in this class,” said SBA
Rhode Island District Director, Mark S. Hayward. “This is the third group we
have graduated through this program, and it is evident that the curriculum
helps elevate these individuals and their businesses to new heights and greater
success,” he added.
This year’s graduates include; Daxa Arora, Curia Systems,
Inc.; Thomas Bucci, Warwick Ice Cream Company; Courtney Camera, Camera O’Neill
Consulting Engineers; Stacy Corrigan, Peace of Mind Property Management &
Real Estate, Inc.; Abby Gordon, Glasgow Consulting Group; Henry Hodge, HCH
Enterprises, LLC; Melodi Landi, Furry Fellas Pet Service, LLC; Walter Valencia,
J. Goodison Company, Inc.
The instructor for the 2017 Emerging Leaders Program was Gil
Lantini, co-founder of Integrated Media Group (IMG), and the Founder and
President of the Rhode Island Small Business Journal.
