the Black Experience in Film. RIBFF provides a platform for awareness for
issues like Sickle Cell Anemia and Lead Poisoning.
From classic black cinema of CABIN IN THE SKY
with Ethel Waters to the musical genius of John Coltrane to the civil
rights role of Playwrite Lorraine Hansberry to Rhode Island filmmaker Kendall
Moore. the Rhode Island Black Film Festival is where social justice and cinema
take a seat.
